The Packers will enter Sunday’s home game following a 14-12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that came down to the final minutes. Brian Hoyer will replace Jones, which is a downgrade. The sprain has been reported to be severe, however, and medical experts are contemplating surgery for the second-year signal-caller. Reporters hounded Belichick in his press conference this week, and he didn’t give any indication on when Jones would return to the field. Mac Jones suffered a high ankle sprain at the end of the team’s 37-26 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 3. The Patriots will enter Sunday’s game with a 1-2 record and their Pro Bowl quarterback watching from the sidelines. This Week 4 matchup will mark the first time the teams have met in Green Bay since the 2014 season, when the Packers earned a 26-21 victory.
